When is the race?
The 2016 Green Corridor Run will be held on Sunday, March 6th, 2016
What is the course?
The Green Corridor Run is 10.5km from Tanjong Pagar Rail Station to Bukit Timah Rail Station. View the ‘course details’ page for maps and additional information.
What can I do with my bag or jumper?
Baggage deposit is available at the start zone. After depositing your baggage you will be provided with a baggage number that will be pasted to the front of your race bib. The baggage will be transported to the Finish Zone at Bukit Timah Rail Station. To retrieve your baggage, please present your race bib with the baggage tag sticker on it. All deposited baggage must be collected by 1pm. The organiser shall not be liable for any loss and/or damage, whether personal or otherwise, for the baggage or items in the baggage deposited with us.
I’d like to put a poster up around my workplace/gym
Please email your contact details and where you would like to display the poster to [email protected].
Will my race pack be posted?
No. All race packs need to be collected by the race participant at the Race Pack Collection Expo at City Square Mall.
Once you receive your race pack please keep your bib and timing chip in a safe place. You will need your bib to participate on race day.
What happens if I have lost my pack?
Once you receive your race pack please make sure to put it in a safe place. If you have lost or damaged your bib or bib tags you can buy a replacement from the race pack collection expo for $20. Please note that there are only a very limited number of replacements for each start group. Please bring a print out of your registration with you.
Can I transfer or refund my entry fee?
No transfers are allowed. When entering The Green Corridor Run the terms and conditions must be accepted by each individual entrant. The refund policy for 2016 is listed below:
- Once registration has been duly processed, there is no registration fee refund for the Participant who is unable to take part in the Event, for any reasons whatsoever.
- The Participant acknowledges that in reliance on the entry fees paid by the Participant to the Organisers, the Organisers will have incurred substantial cost and expenses in the organisation of the Event. The Participant hereby agrees that in the event of a race cancellation due to conditions beyond the control of the Organisers including but not limited to storm, rain, inclement weather, winds, floods, act of God or terrorism, or other conditions, the Participant’s entry fees shall be non-refundable.
Can children enter?
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by their parent or guardian. The parent/guardian must also be present with the child when collecting the u/12 race pack and will be required to sign the waiver on behalf of the child.
What is in the race pack?
- A chest bib and timing tag (attached to the back of the bib)
- Merchandise that you choose when registering; either a Green Corridor Run Singlet or Decathlon 10L backpack.
- Finisher Medal for finishers
- Baggage Valet
- Shuttle Buses to and from MRT
- Sports drink and water during the race and fruit after the race.
An event as large as the Green Corridor Run (covering a distance of 10.5km and attracting thousands of people), is very expensive to organise and execute. Without the support of its partners and volunteers it would not be possible to run such a large community event.
Do I have to wear my race bib?
All Green Corridor Run participants must display a 2016 race bib at all times. Unregistered participants are not permitted into the start or finish area and will be removed from the course by security. Chest bib check points will be located at all entry points to the start area.
Resources of the event organisers, including medical and safety services, along with event supplies for drink stations and finishers merchandise, are reserved solely for registered entrants. Any unregistered runner intending to participate should seriously reconsider as they pose a serious safety risk. If you are registered but have misplaced your bib, replacements are available from the registration desk for a $20 charge. Please bring your e-ticket registration and valid photo id with you.
I am not feeling well, can I still compete?
We advise that anyone including those training or participating in the Green Corridor Run, who is unwell with influenza-like symptoms (including fever, chills, sore throat, cough, tiredness, muscle aches, headache or shortness of breath) or any other illness between now and on the day of the Green Corridor Run should stay at home and avoid close contact with others until their symptoms are gone.
- People who are unwell in the next few weeks for any reason are strongly advised to re-assess their participation in the event and should talk to their doctor if they have any questions.
- It is important for all participants to remember to properly hydrate with fluids before, during and after the race. Singapore weather is always hot and humid and all participants and spectators should dress appropriately for the conditions. Unlike cotton, many synthetic fabrics will dry quickly and keep you cool.
Where are the toilets?
Portable toilets will be available at both Tanjong Pagar Rail Station and Bukit Timah Rail Station.
Where can I get a drink?
There is a water drink station at the start and finish and three drink stations along the course dispensing water. Sports drink will also be available at the finish area.
If you are worried about finding a drink, bring your own water bottle (no glass please). We recommend that people starting in the back-of-the-pack group carry their own drink bottle which can be filled at each drink station along the course.
What do I do if I need first aid or don’t feel well during the race?
Please don’t compete if you have been sick or have had a viral infection in the two weeks prior to race day. You may potentially be putting your own health, and the health of fellow runners, at risk if you do so.
There are first aid stations located at the start, 5km mark and finish area. There are paramedics, doctors and ambulances stationed along the route. In the instance that you or someone in your vicinity does not feel well, please signal either a paramedic or volunteer (and they will contact the paramedic).
Is there a time limit for finishing the Green Corridor Run?
There will be people at the finish gates until 2.00pm. This is enough time to comfortably walk the course.
What do I do when I finish?
Once you have crossed the finish line, please keep moving. Please move as far as you can through the gate before stopping. Please keep moving on towards the drink stations. Please don’t wait for friends and family just past the gates. This creates congestion for runners finishing after you. Arrange to meet your friends and family beyond the finish line towards the Bukit Timah Rail Station platform. You do not need to return your bib or bib tag
Do I have to return anything after the race?
No, all bibs and bib tags are yours to keep. Please use the waste and recycling stations provided where appropriate, and help keep the Green Corridor beautiful.
Where can I park?
We recommend catching either public transport or a taxi to the start line. If you do drive, there are a limited amount of parking spaces available at Tanjong Pagar Rail Station (you must purchase parking at the time of registration). Otherwise, you may be able to find a park somewhere in the surrounding neighbourhood.
How do I get home?
Please click here for transport info.
Can I bring my pet or bicycle?
No pets, bicycles, scooters, hand cycles, skateboards or rollerblades are permitted.
